Clemente is a large sculpture, made with a wood and wire base, many layers of papier-mache, and clay. Her final layers are pages from an antique collection of Gustave Doré engravings and linen.
 
Inside her torso, a friendly creature named Gustave is emerging for the first time, ready to explore the world. All the while, white birds that have been nesting inside her cavity are also circling, ecstatic with their freedom.
 
She is approximately 33 inches high, 18 inches wide and 15 inches deep. She can sit on a table or hang from a wall.
