“Down decks, down decks the captain goes, And brings this young man up to his foe, She placed her eye, Oh, on him so grim, Which made him tremble every limb.
Saying,
Do you remember when I was a maid yoor trembling heart to bleed?
I am a spirit, I come for thou, You had me once, but I’ve got you now.”
Down in her boat she forced him, And that was all between ship and man, Sailors and all, Oh, do admire,
When the boat she sank in a flame of fire.”

The Dreadful Ghost: The Ship

$875.00Price
  • For this, I made a boat out of wood and clay. The outer layer are leaves from a book of Gustave Doré etchings, and there is misty gauze and ropes that drapes around the boat. The three figures are the woman we meet in the first piece, and the twins she was pregnant with when she took her own life… seeking the one who wronged her.

The boat measures 19 inches long and 21 inches high. The sail will be removed from the boat for safety during shipping, but can be easily put back in place. The ghostly  figures  were made from wire, clay and wood.

A small booklet with the lyrics to The Dreadful Ghost will be included.
